Just so you know...

UDot builds better center dividers than Ford builds Expeditions. (Says Bruce "the Greatest" anyway...)

So for anyone that doesn't know, Tina and I were involved in an accident a few days ago on the freeway in Salt Lake. We're both ok (well, with a little "air-bag rash" as I like to call it...and a LOT of muscle aches and pains), the boys are fine, but sad to say, the Explodition is a goner. Anyway, I appreciate everyone who has expressed concerns already, but for those who haven't, it's not a huge deal...everyone is ok and that's all that really matters. :o) Court, my best friend Shell, and I all made it back to Laramie safe without incident, although there were a few snowy patches between Rawlins and Laramie. (Nothing too bad compared to the snowy/windy patches we drove through on the way over)

Dad's services went well. Lots of crying, lots of hugs...still hasn't really set in yet. We still catch ourselves saying things like "That's something dad would say" and "Dad gets this" or "Dad gets that". It's going to take a while to stop doing that, but I know it'll get easier. Thanks to everyone who has let us know that they're thinking of us. Even if we haven't had time to reply, we do appreciate the fact that you all care so much. This whole month has been hard, and I know it's cliche, but it can only get easier right?

Ok, enough babbling. I'm waiting for pain pills to kick in so I can get some sleep. Have to go back to work manana. Not looking forward to that. Have a good night!!

Timothy Holder (12/18/08)

Published: Thursday, December 18, 2008 1:26 PM MST
Funeral service for Timothy Decker Holder, 55, of Gillette will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gillette with Bishop Tony Klamm officiating.

A second funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sundberg Olpin Mortuary in Orem, Utah, with burial to follow at Orem City Cemetery.

Mr. Holder died Sunday Dec. 14, 2008, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

He was born May 14, 1953, in Elko, Nev., to Lyal and Shirley (Mortensen) Holder. His family lived in several places before settling in Orem in his pre-teen years. He graduated from Orem High School and attended two years of college at Brigham Young University and taught Sunday school at the LDS church.

Starting in 1972, he served two years on a Latter-day Saints mission to Frankfurt, Germany. Upon returning to Utah, he worked at a bicycle shop in St. George, where he met Dolores Campbell and they were married Feb. 18, 1977. They remained in the Provo and Orem area for 22 years before moving to Colorado and then to Gillette in 2005.

Mr. Holder worked for years in management for various computer companies. After moving to Colorado, he taught seminary, which lead to the interest in seminary/Latter-day Village Web sites. Shortly after moving to Gillette, he started his own Latter Day Village Web sites, which he was operating at the time of his death.

His interests included computers. He would help anybody who needed help with a computer problem and had a lot of equipment and books about computers. If he didn’t have the answer to a problem he found someone who did.

He also enjoyed watching movies, going on long drives and taking lots of scenic pictures. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren. They had good times in play land at McDonald’s and spending their “Fun Dollars” at the local dollar stores.

Mr. Holder is survived by his wife of 31 years of Gillette; sons, Jonathan Holder of Casper and Lyal Holder of Gillette; daughters, Heidi Allan of Santaquin Utah, Elizabeth and Courtney Holder, both of Laramie and Kristina Hudson of Taylorsville, Utah; 10 grandchildren; his mother; and brothers, Richard and Mike Holder, both of Orem and Wayne Holder of Long Beach, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one grandson.

A memorial has been established to benefit the Holder family and memorials can be sent to the Walker Funeral Home at 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences can be sent via the Internet at www.walkerfuneralgillette.com.

Funeral

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will not be online much for the next few weeks. My dad passed away this last Sunday and we're busy making funeral arrangements and such. If you'd like to get ahold of me, your best bet is to call/text my cell phone if you have the number. We are asking that people send donations to Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716 in lieu of flowers, or a paypal donation can be made to timholdermemorialfund@yahoo.com to help with funeral costs. Thank you for your understanding.

Artist: Britney Spears
Album: Circus
Song: Out From Under

Breathe you out
Breathe you in
You keep coming back to tell me
you’re the one who could have been
and my eyes see it all so clear
It was long ago and far away but it never disappears
I try to put it in the past
Hold on to myself and don’t look back

I don’t wanna dream about
All the things that never were
Maybe I can live without
When I’m out from under
I don’t wanna feel the pain
What good would it do me now
I’ll get it all figured out
When I’m out from under

So let me go
Just let me fly away
Let me feel the space between us growing deeper
And much darker every day
Watch me now and I’ll be someone new
My heart will be unbroken
It will open up for everyone but you
Even when I cross the line
It's like a lie I’ve told a thousand times

I don’t wanna dream about
All the things that never were
Maybe I can live without
When I’m out from under
I don’t wanna feel the pain
What good would it do me now
I’ll get it all figured out
When I’m out from under

And part of me still believes
When you say you’re gonna stick around
And part of me still believes
We can find a way to work it out
But I know that we tried everything we could try
So let's just say goodbye
Forever

I don’t wanna dream about
All the things that never were
Maybe I can live without
When I’m out from under
I don’t wanna feel the pain
What good would it do me now
I’ll get it all figured out
When I’m out from under

I don’t wanna dream about
All the things that never were
Maybe I can live without
When I’m out from under
I don’t wanna feel the pain
What good would it do me now
I’ll get it all figured out
When I’m out from under
When I'm out from under
